Ahoy Matey!!!

Here's a little card for the Less is More Challenge # 5.   This week the theme is 'Pastel Colours'.

I've used stamps from the Waltzingmouse set 'Half Pint Hero's'........so sweet!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by, I'm off to check all the entries so far..........

Edit:
I've been asked a couple of questions about this card..... The base card is a beautiful blue ...yes pastel, It's actually the same colour as the blue at the back of the submarine!   The wave across the top was cut from white pearlized card which gives the card a little shine.   The images are stamped to DP, Fairy Flora by Prima and cut out.

Birthday Wishes - 3 Squares

Here's a little card I made ready for a sweet friend.  It follows this weeks LIM challenge #4 which was to use three squares.
I can't resist a smile as these 'Daisies' grow like weeds here.......pretty never the less!
Thanks for dropping by ...

Fabulous Day!

Thank goodness it's Friday...

I wanted to share another of my cards using the tutorial from Less Is More  adding a computer generated sentiment to a card.

I downloaded this lovely image from Paper Garden Projects to use on my Digital card and coloured it with my Copic  Markers. What do you think?  I was pleased with the sentiment placement on this one.  Trouble is the line I drew beneath the bottle is in the wrong spot really...... It needed to be a tad further back.  My bottle looks like it's about to fall of the table top!  Ahhhhh next time, I'm sure I'll use this image over and over.

Have a good week end,

Me x

Less Is More #3 - SPRING

Happy Saturday.......It's nearly Sunday here :)

Here's the little card I made for the Less Is More Challenge #3,  Chrissy and Mandi have given us a SPRING theme to work with.

I love that the girls offer up some tips and tricks with their challenges.  This week they spoke about computer generated sentiments and I thought I 'd give it a try!

Well in for a penny in for a pound......I added a little digital Pure Innocence image too.
I won't tell you how long it took me to line this all up though ..........Hope I get better with practice!

I used two sweet fonts  for the sentiment and changed the font size for the middle line .........what fun!
The little image is very lightly chalked to add some subtle colour.
I couldn't resist adding some of the new coloured Bakers Twine......so pretty.

Well look at me....... I received this sweet award from Suze.  Thank you so much I'm not sure I deserve it but am 'chuffed' to receive it....ta!

It has to be passed on to New Blogger's 15 of them.
I have to tell you some stuff about me.... I can do that:
  1. My first name is not Simply.....haha
  2. I wanted to call my blog "Plain Jane" but someone beat me to it!
  3. I'll never see 30 again!
  4. I long for a craft space just the way I'd like it.......I'm collecting all kinds of pictures ready.
  5. It has to have an easy chair facing the window, so I can sit and enjoy my afternoon tea.....(from a china cup of course).
  6. I love old black and white movies.
  7. I'm never sure about these awards ..... are they like chain letters?
Now I don't think I know 15 !!! new blogger's to pass this award on to. I've visited lots of amazing blogger's who's work inspires me no end.  Sooooo I'm passing it on to all the new blogger's out there who come and visit my blog.    Thanks again Suze.

Catch you later,
